Performance - Talk of the Fest. Hosted by Paul Provenza. Guests vary.

Venue - Smirnoff Underbelly.

Hosted by Paul Provenza this one hour talk show is not recommended for the faint of heart. Featuring a different line up every night this show could be hit and miss depending on your sensibilities and taste.

Rating - 5 stars.

Guests on the bill for the show I saw were Glen Wool and Jim Jeffries.
Performance - Linsay Webb. Foolosophy.

Venue - Cafe Royal Theatre.

This may be the first time Linsay Webb has played Edinburgh on his own merit but he has performed in Edinburgh before. Shared bills are no longer needed for this Australian comedian as his act has the basis for a great set. Could do with shortening down some of his skits and inserting more pay offs but all will come in good time.

Rating - 3 and a half stars.
Performance - Dwight Slade - Bill and Dwight, My life with Hicks.

Venue - Pleasance Dome.

Dwight Slade grew up with Bill Hicks and in this show he speaks of his experiences and shared moments between himself and Hicks.

Probably only suitable to those who have an interest in Bill Hicks.

Rating - 5 stars.

Performance - Ian Stone.

Venue - Smirnoff Underbelly.

Me with Ian Stone

With Ian Stone.

Ian Stone is Jewish. Not that you'd notice.

Dealing with hecklers and having to deal with two people walking out claiming that he was a "Racist cunt!" Ian Stone was confident on stage and in the spotlight.

Well worth going to see.

Rating - 4 stars.

Performance - Howard Marks.
Venue - Assembly Rooms Music Hall.

Howard Marks was, at one time, wanted for masterminding the largest drugs haul ever known in the UK.

Walking onto the stage Howard Marks looks like he is either stoned out of his gourd or very very tired. The chances are, and the vox pops seem to agree it's the previous.

Rating - **** 4 stars.

If you want to see a living legend go and see Howard Marks.
Performance - Dwight Slade.
Venue - Fringe Sunday Comedy Tent & Pleasance Dome.

Dwight Slade.

A childhood friend of comedy legend Bill Hicks, Dwight Slade started doing comedy at a very early age.

With a large crowd (roughly 150 people) Dwight Slade performed 15 minutes of stand up that had people of all ages laughing out loud at the Fringe Sunday Comedy Tent. The same night however, he faced a crowd of 30 people at the Pleasance Dome and performed with as much gusto and passion.

Dwight's experience behind a microphone and in front of a crowd shone through during both his performances despite the different crowd sizes.

One to see should he ever pop around your area.

Rating - ***** 5 stars.
